“A Touch Of Frost!”
Wednesday, January 25th, 2006Last night Jack Frost returned

Where’s the week gone? I haven’t completed half the tasks I wanted and, we’ve got a busy weekend coming up. Jodie the latest addition to the Bonnybank family, has taken to kennel-life like a duck to water, and loves exercising in the playground. We wish Jodie’s mum a speedy recovery
Dougal, a lovely nineteen year old Persian cat and the apple of his mums eye, was taken ill while in our cattery over Christmas and was very poorly. Chrissie and myself spent many hours nursing and feeding him by hand before he went home. We received a letter from Ann, his mum, today to say that although slow, Dougal is making excellent progress – good news indeed.
P.S. Thanks for the flowers Ann, they are beautiful and still looking great.

So! We awoke this morning to find a veil of mist hanging over the kennels and grounds, then by mid morning …Yep, you guessed it – rain! great big juicy droplets. A few seconds of that and it’s indoors for a change of clothes!
But not to be detoured it’s back to the barn to carry on work with the cattery
Having had a nasty fall in which Mrs Brown broke her hip, it was decided to book Jodie, a very friendly cross-bred lab, into Bonnybanks
to give Mrs Brown a rest-bite. Hopefully they will be reunited very soon.
Luckily we don’t suffer them any more and enjoy Mondays. Well the start of a very busy week at Bonnybanks, lots to do – mainly cleaning and general tidying up.
Not at Bonnybanks! Life goes on as on any other day. Lovely Lucy, a friendly lab went home today after a long weekend.

She said how nice it was to be pampered on short breaks. A very busy week ahead for the rest of us at Bonnybanks – loads of maintenance and painting to be done.
Peace and tranquillity is once more restored over Bonnybanks and as the swollen waters of the Coyle subside, we get ready for another busy week-end.
Well when I say a wee drop, actually I mean torrents of the stuff – rain that is. But its not all bad, the wind has dropped slightly and with care you can stand up-right.
So we decided to take sanctuary in the barn to continue work on the new cattery; we’re hoping to have all the work complete by Easter.
A very good day for kite flying and chasing wheelie bins down the road. Oh yes, it is a little breezy out there today, but the dogs don’t seem to mind at all, and the kennel routine goes on regardless.
