Over the last few weeks we have been visited by two feral cats a tortoise shell and a ginger tom.
We were reluctant to encourage them due to our own guests at Bonnybank boarding kennels.
Last Friday however, was a sad day. I found the tortoise shell caught in an animal trap. I put a blanket over the cat and managed to free it and place it in a cat box.
The Cat’s Protection League were called and came swiftly, and collected her.
I advised them that another was still around. The next day they called with a cat trap and advised us that the tortoise shell had to have her leg amputated and through shock lost it’s kittens. However, good luck did at long last appear. The ginger tom was caught later that night in good health. The C.P.L was called and collected him the next morning. We feel so grateful to the charity for work they and their team of volunteers do. The C.P.L has named the cats Bonny after our kennels and the tom Clyde. Let’s hope the two gangsters are kept together and re-homed soon.
Thank again to the Ayrshire C.P.L for all their help.
